Today we will be updating all software on server #7, #8, and #9. The maintenance will not take longer than 30 minutes on each server and there will be no / very minimal downtime.
We just experienced a network problem on server 7 and 8 which resulted in downtime on both servers. The problem has been solved, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the downtime.
Today we will be updating all software on server #8, #9, #10, #11 and #12. The maintenance will not take longer than 30 minutes on each server and there should be no downtime at all.
Attack on our network
Due to a DDoS attack on a part of our network, servers 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 were unavailable for 5 minutes. The problem was quickly onder control by the datacenter staff.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
This evening DirectAdmin could not be reached on server 8. All websites on server 8 were functioning correctly and did not experience any downtime, only the DirectAdmin control panel was unavailable. We have solved the problem and we will of course work hard to prevent similar problems in the future.
We will now update all software on server 8 to their latest versions to find the source of the problem.
EDIT @ Friday 6 November @ 21:50: The update of the software on server 8 has been completed, there was no downtime at all.
We have planned maintenance on server #3, #4, #6, #7, #8 and #9 tomorrow evening. We will install our new backup network and we will need to reboot each one of these servers, this will cause around 2 minutes of downtime on each server. We apologize for any inconvenience.
EDIT @ Tuesday 20 October @ 18:15: The maintenance on server 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 is now completed. Our new backup network has been successfully installed. This now enables us to keep a backup of every account for 4 days!
Server 3 upgrade planned
As we have promised our customers, Friday evening 28-08-2009 starting from 18:00 we will start moving all users from server 3 to a server four times more powerful than the current server. Our users on this server need to keep the following changes in mind:
IP address 85.17.138.151 will be replaced with 91.198.27.139
IP address 85.17.138.174 will be replaced with 91.198.27.152
Customers using our nameservers (ns5.versio.nl and ns6.versio.nl) do not have to change anything! Customers using our IP adresses in their DNS records in any way have to change the IP adresses to the new IP adresses. Reseller customers using our IP addresses for their private nameservers will have to change the IP addresses to the new IP addresses.
Once the move has been completed, the FTP host you should use is: 91.198.27.139
Once the move has been completed, you can login into DirectAdmin by visiting http://91.198.27.139:2222
Server move completed
We have just completed moving the servers to a new datacenter. Unfortunately, it has taken a very long time. The last server has been moved at 06:28.
Your website is now available from the new network and the new datacenter. If you experience any problems, please do contact us.
Due to problems at the current datacenter of server #4, #7, #8 and #9 we are forced to move these servers to a new datacenter. The move is planned for Sunday night, websites on these servers will be offline for a couple of minutes.
Domains using our nameservers do not have to do anything. Domains and users using the IP adresses of these servers in any way can take a look below to see the new IP adresses per server.
NOTE: Resellers using our IP adresses for their private nameservers will have to change the IP adresses of their nameservers!
NOTE 2: These changes come into effect AFTER Sunday night!
